Baked Chicken Alfredo Dip with Garlic Bread

  • Author: Imili Johnson
  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

For the Alfredo Dip:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

For the Garlic Bread:

  • 1 baguette or loaf of Italian bread
  • ¼ cup butter (melted)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for topping)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This will ensure the dip is baked to golden, bubbly perfection while the garlic bread gets crisp and toasty.

Step 2: Prepare the Alfredo Dip Base

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Alfredo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well-blended. The cream cheese gives the dip a luscious texture, while the Alfredo sauce provides that signature creamy flavor.

Step 3: Add Chicken and Cheese

Fold the shredded chicken, shredded mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese into the Alfredo base. Make sure everything is evenly mixed. The chicken will add heartiness to the dip, while the cheeses ensure every bite is deliciously cheesy.

Step 4: Transfer to Baking Dish

Spoon the Alfredo dip mixture into a lightly greased baking dish or oven-safe skillet, spreading it out evenly. You can use an 8×8-inch dish for a thicker dip or a larger dish for a thinner layer.

Step 5: Bake the Dip

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly around the edges. If you want a golden, slightly crispy top, broil the dip for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end, keeping a close eye on it to avoid burning.

Step 6: Prepare the Garlic Bread

While the dip is baking, prepare the garlic bread. Slice the baguette or loaf of Italian bread into thick slices, about ½ inch wide. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic and chopped parsley.

Step 7: Toast the Garlic Bread

Brush both sides of each bread slice with the garlic butter mixture. If you want an extra layer of flavor, sprinkle a little grated Parmesan cheese on top of the bread slices. Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 8: Bake the Garlic Bread

During the last 5-7 minutes of the dip’s baking time, place the baking sheet with the garlic bread in the oven. Bake until the bread is golden brown and crisp, about 5-7 minutes. For an even crispier texture, broil the garlic bread for the last 1-2 minutes.

Step 9: Garnish and Serve

Once the Alfredo dip is hot and bubbling, remove it from the oven and sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top for a burst of color and freshness. Serve the dip immediately with the warm, toasty garlic bread on the side for dipping.
