Ingredients
Ingredients
-
1.5 oz tequila (silver or blanco recommended)
-
0.75 oz fresh lime juice
-
1 oz full-fat coconut milk (from a can, well shaken)
-
0.5 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or triple sec)
-
0.5 oz agave syrup
-
0.25 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
-
A small handful of fresh blueberries
-
Ice cubes
Optional Garnish
-
Salt or sugar for rimming
-
Fresh blueberries
-
Dried lime slice or wedge
Instructions
Step 1: Rim the glass (optional)
Run a lime wedge around the rim of your margarita or rocks glass. Dip the rim into coarse salt or sugar, depending on your flavor preference. Set aside.
Step 2: Muddle the blueberries
In a cocktail shaker, add a small handful of fresh blueberries. Muddle thoroughly until they release their juices and create a rich base.
Step 3: Add liquid ingredients
Add 1.5 oz tequila, 0.75 oz lime juice, 1 oz coconut milk, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, 0.5 oz agave syrup, and 0.25 oz simple syrup to the shaker.
Step 4: Shake it up
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15–20 seconds until the drink is well chilled and creamy.
Step 5: Strain and serve
Double strain into your prepared glass over fresh ice to remove blueberry skins and seeds. This keeps the texture smooth and elegant.
Step 6: Garnish and enjoy
Top with a few blueberries and a dried lime slice or wedge. Serve immediately and enjoy every luxuriously tart, tropical sip.
