Ingredients
-
1 oz chocolate liqueur (like Godiva or crème de cacao)
-
1 oz caramel vodka
Alternative: 1 oz vanilla vodka + 1 tsp caramel syrup -
1/2 oz Irish cream liqueur (like Baileys)
-
Ice (for shaking)
-
Optional Garnishes:
-
Chocolate syrup (for drizzling)
-
Caramel sauce (for rim or drizzle)
-
Mini chocolate or caramel candy (for garnish)
-
Whipped cream (optional topping)
-
Instructions
Step 1:
Chill your shot glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes prior to pouring, if possible. This helps the drink stay cold and adds a frosty, professional touch.
Step 2:
Prepare the shaker. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice to ensure the liquids get properly chilled without becoming too diluted.
Step 3:
Pour in 1 oz chocolate liqueur, 1 oz caramel vodka (or vanilla vodka + caramel syrup), and 1/2 oz Irish cream liqueur.
Step 4:
Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds. The shaker should feel frosty to the touch, and the mixture should look silky when poured.
Step 5:
(Optional) Drizzle chocolate syrup or caramel inside the shot glass in a swirling motion for a decorative effect. Then, strain the drink evenly into the glass.
Step 6:
Garnish with a tiny swirl of whipped cream, a drizzle of syrup, or a mini chocolate/caramel candy on the rim.
Notes
This shot is best served immediately after shaking, while it’s still frosty and silky. If you’re making it in batches, you can pre-mix the spirits (minus the ice) and refrigerate until ready to shake and serve. The drink doesn’t require cooking but benefits greatly from chilling. You can also rim the glasses in advance for a time-saving trick during parties.
