Creepy Candy Corn Cocktail

  • Author: Imili Johnson
  • Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz. orange liqueur (e.g., Triple Sec)
  • 3 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. cream or half-and-half
  • 1/2 oz. grenadine
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream (optional, for garnish)
  • Candy corn pieces (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation:

Step 1: Chill Your Ingredients

Make sure the vodka, orange liqueur, and pineapple juice are chilled before starting. This helps keep the layers separated.

Step 2: Prepare the Cocktail Glass

Fill the glass with ice cubes to keep the drink cold. A highball or rocks glass works well for showing off the layered effect.

Step 3: Add Grenadine

Pour the grenadine into the bottom of the glass. It will settle at the bottom and form the first layer of the cocktail, resembling the bottom layer of a candy corn.

Step 4: Create the Middle Layer

In a cocktail shaker, combine the vanilla vodka, orange liqueur, and pineapple juice with ice. Shake well to chill and mix the ingredients. Gently pour this mixture over the back of a spoon into the glass to create a layered effect. This forms the middle orange layer.

Step 5: Top with Cream

Slowly pour the cream over the back of a spoon to float on top of the orange layer. This will resemble the white tip of candy corn.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve

Add a dollop of whipped cream on top if desired, and garnish with a few pieces of candy corn. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • When pouring the layers, go slowly and use the back of a spoon to create distinct layers. This technique helps the liquids remain separate due to their different densities.
