Fudge Fizz Frenzy

  • Author: Imili Johnson
  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 oz chocolate liqueur (Godiva, crème de cacao, or your favorite)

  • 1 oz vodka (Vanilla or whipped cream-flavored vodka is ideal)

  • ½ oz Irish cream liqueur (like Baileys or equivalent)

  • 2 oz root beer (classic, creamy flavor) or cola (for a caramel twist)

  • 1 scoop of chocolate or vanilla ice cream (optional but highly recommended)

  • Chocolate syrup (for glass rim and drizzle)

  • Whipped cream, mini fudge pieces, or chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Glass:
Drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside of your glass for a beautiful, swirling chocolate design. For an extra touch, dip the rim into chocolate syrup or coat it in crushed fudge or chocolate shavings.

  2. Mix the Base:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the chocolate liqueur, vodka, and Irish cream. Shake well for 15–20 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled and lightly frothy.

  3. Pour and Fizz:
Strain the shaken mix into your prepared glass (use a rocks or sundae-style glass). Then gently pour the root beer (or cola) over the top. Stir lightly to combine. Watch the fizz rise!

  4. Scoop and Top:
Add a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream on top. The ice cream will melt slowly into the drink, enriching the texture and enhancing the creamy body.

  5. Garnish with Flair:
Top with whipped cream, sprinkle on some mini fudge cubes or chocolate shavings, and drizzle more chocolate syrup for good measure.

  6. Serve Immediately:
Enjoy with a straw and a long spoon—you’ll want to scoop up every last bit.

Notes

  • You can premix the vodka, chocolate liqueur, and Irish cream in a sealed jar or bottle and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Just shake before serving.

  • Rim and decorate your glasses in advance and chill them in the fridge so they’re ready to go.

  • If making for a party, pre-scoop ice cream into a parchment-lined tray and freeze. Drop into drinks when ready to serve.
