Oogie Boogie Punch

  • Author: Imili Johnson
  • Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups lemon-lime soda (Sprite or 7-Up)
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 cup lime sherbet (or green sherbet)
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • Green food coloring (optional, to enhance the spooky color)
  • Gummy worms or gummy bugs (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional alcohol (for adults): 1 cup vodka or rum

Instructions

Step 1:
In a large punch bowl or pitcher, pour the lemon-lime soda, pineapple juice, and lime juice. Stir to combine all the flavors.

Step 2:
Add the lime sherbet to the punch. As it melts, it will create a frothy, foamy texture, giving the punch a spooky, bubbling cauldron effect.

Step 3:
For extra sweetness, stir in the simple syrup. If you want to intensify the green color, add a few drops of green food coloring and stir well.

Step 4:
Add ice cubes to the punch to keep it cool, and if you’re making an adult version, pour in the vodka or rum and stir again.

Step 5:
Garnish the punch with gummy worms or gummy bugs, letting them float on top or dangle over the edge of the punch bowl for a creepy-crawly effect.

Notes

  • If the sherbet is too frozen, let it sit out for a few minutes to soften before adding it to the punch. This will help it blend more easily.
  • For extra creepiness, freeze gummy worms in ice cubes ahead of time to add them to the punch for a surprise as they thaw!
