Orange Creamsicle Martini

  • Author: Imili Johnson
  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 oz vanilla vodka 🍦 – Adds a smooth, sweet vanilla flavor to the base of the drink.

  • 1 oz orange liqueur (like Triple Sec or Cointreau) 🍊 – The citrusy orange liqueur gives the martini its signature flavor.

  • 2 oz orange juice 🍊 – Fresh, vibrant orange juice for a natural citrus kick.

  • 1 oz heavy cream or half & half 🥛 – Creamy, rich texture that balances the tang of the orange.

  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (optional, for added sweetness) 🍯 – Adds an extra touch of sweetness to enhance the flavor.

  • Ice 🧊 – To chill and blend the ingredients for a refreshing drink.

  • Orange sugar for rimming 🍊 – Adds a sweet citrusy finish to the martini glass.

  • Whipped cream and orange slice for garnish – A perfect garnish to top off your Orange Creamsicle Martini.

Instructions

  1. Prepare your martini glass: Start by rimming your glass with orange sugar. To do this, run a slice of orange around the rim of the glass to wet it, then dip it into a plate of orange sugar. This will give your martini a sweet, citrusy coating.

  2. Combine the ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, add the vanilla vodka, orange liqueur, orange juice, and heavy cream or half & half. If you like your martini sweeter, add the simple syrup to taste.

  3. Add ice: Fill the shaker with ice to chill the mixture and give it a refreshing, cold temperature.

  4. Shake it up: Secure the lid on your shaker and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds. This will blend the ingredients together and chill the drink perfectly.

  5. Strain and pour: Strain the mixture into the prepared martini glass, being careful not to spill any of the orange sugar rim.

  6. Garnish: Top your martini with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with a slice of orange on the rim. You can also add a little more orange sugar on top of the whipped cream for an extra touch.

Notes

This cocktail is quick and easy to make, but if you’re preparing for a large gathering, you can mix the vodka, orange liqueur, and orange juice in advance, storing it in the fridge for up to a day. Just add the cream, syrup, and ice when ready to serve for the freshest flavor.
