  • 1 oz (30 ml) vodka
  • 1 oz (30 ml) coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa)

Preparation:

Step 1: Fill a rocks glass or an Old Fashioned glass with ice cubes. Make sure the glass is adequately chilled to keep the drink cool and refreshing.

Step 2: Pour the coffee liqueur over the ice. The coffee liqueur serves as the base of the drink, providing a deep, rich flavor that pairs well with the creaminess of the RumChata.

Step 3: Add the vodka to the glass. Stir gently to combine the coffee liqueur and vodka. The vodka adds a bit of potency to the drink, creating a balance with the sweetness of the other ingredients.

Step 4: Slowly pour the RumChata over the mixture. For a layered effect, you can pour it over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the vodka and coffee liqueur. This gives the cocktail a visually appealing layered look.
