Vampire Ice Cream Floats

  • Author: Imili Johnson
  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup red soda (like cherry or strawberry)
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Red syrup (strawberry or raspberry), for garnish
  • Optional: gummy vampire teeth for decoration

Instructions

Step 1: Begin by drizzling some red syrup around the inside rim of a tall glass to create a blood-dripping effect. Set the glass aside for the syrup to slightly solidify.

Step 2: Carefully place two scoops of vanilla ice cream into the glass.

Step 3: Slowly pour the red soda over the ice cream scoops until the glass is almost full, allowing the soda to foam and bubble up.

Step 4: Top the float with a generous dollop of whipped cream.

Step 5: Garnish with additional red syrup over the whipped cream to enhance the vampire theme.

Step 6: Optionally, place a pair of gummy vampire teeth on the rim of the glass or on top of the whipped cream for a playful, spooky touch.

Variation:

Try different flavors of ice cream such as chocolate or strawberry for a twist on the classic vanilla base.

Notes

Pour the soda gently to minimize overflow and maximize the frothy top layer which adds to the float’s appeal.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve immediately with a straw and a long spoon, perfect for digging into the creamy, fizzy layers.

Tips:

  • Chill the glass beforehand to keep your float cooler for longer.
  • Adjust the amount of syrup based on your sweetness preference.
  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
