Ingredients
For the Garlic Knots:
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
- 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray (for air fryer basket)
Optional Dipping Sauce:
- Marinara sauce
- Extra Alfredo sauce
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Pizza Dough
Open the can of refrigerated pizza dough and roll it out onto a floured surface. Using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife, cut the dough into 12 equal-sized strips, about 1 inch wide and 4 inches long. These strips will be used to form the garlic knots.
Step 2: Make the Alfredo Filling
In a small bowl, mix together the Alfredo sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese. This mixture will be used to stuff the garlic knots.
Step 3: Stuff the Garlic Knots
Take one dough strip at a time, and spoon about 1 teaspoon of the Alfredo filling onto the center of the dough strip. Carefully pinch and fold the dough around the filling to seal it in, then gently tie the dough into a knot. Repeat with the remaining dough strips and filling.
Step 4: Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the minced garlic, parsley, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. This garlic butter will be brushed onto the garlic knots before and after air frying for maximum flavor.
Step 5: Air Fry the Garlic Knots
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3-4 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the stuffed garlic knots in the basket, making sure they are not overcrowded (you may need to cook them in batches). Brush each garlic knot with a generous amount of the prepared garlic butter.
Air fry the garlic knots for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside. Halfway through the cooking time, brush the garlic knots with more garlic butter and flip them for even cooking.
Step 6: Serve and Garnish
Once the garlic knots are cooked, remove them from the air fryer and brush them with any remaining garlic butter. For a finishing touch, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and extra fresh parsley on top.
