Ingredients
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Preparation:
Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Preparing the oven early ensures it’s ready to go once your chicken wings are seasoned.
Step 2:
In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure all the wings are evenly coated with the seasoning. This will enhance the flavor of the wings and help them achieve a beautiful golden brown crisp in the oven.
Step 3:
Arrange the seasoned wings on a baking sheet in a single layer. Make sure the wings aren’t overlapping to allow even cooking. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. Check for crispiness and ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for perfectly cooked wings.
Step 4:
While the wings are baking, prepare the Alfredo sauce. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can turn bitter.
Step 5:
Once the garlic is fragrant, stir in 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Allow it to simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently. As the cream warms, it will begin to thicken slightly.
Step 6:
Gradually add in the 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese while stirring continuously. Continue to cook until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency, which should take about 5-6 minutes. If the sauce becomes too thick, you can thin it with a splash of milk or additional cream.
Step 7:
Remove the wings from the oven once they’re crispy and golden brown. Place the wings into a large bowl and pour the Alfredo sauce over them. Toss the wings gently to ensure each piece is evenly coated with the rich, creamy sauce.
Notes
Cooking Notes:
- Creamy sauce consistency: If your Alfredo sauce thickens too much during cooking, you can add a small amount of milk or extra cream to loosen it up. Stir well to achieve a smooth, creamy texture.
- Crispier wings: For an extra crispy finish on the wings, consider broiling them for the last 2-3 minutes of baking. This step gives them an additional golden crust.
- Make it spicy: If you like a little heat, sprinkle some red pepper flakes or drizzle with hot sauce before tossing the wings in the Alfredo sauce.
