  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 box (3 oz) red gelatin (such as cherry or strawberry)
  • ½ cup peppermint schnapps
  • ½ cup cold water

For the White Layer:

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup peppermint schnapps
  • ½ cup cold water

Additional Ingredients:

  • Crushed candy canes (for garnish)
  • Optional: Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

Preparation

Step 1: Prepare the Red Layer

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of boiling water with the red gelatin. Stir until completely dissolved.
  2. Add ½ cup of peppermint schnapps and ½ cup of cold water to the gelatin mixture. Mix well.
  3. Pour a thin layer of the red gelatin mixture into individual shot glasses or a silicone mold. Refrigerate for 30–45 minutes until set.

Step 2: Prepare the White Layer

  1. In a separate bowl, dissolve the unflavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk, ½ cup of peppermint schnapps, and ½ cup of cold water. Mix until smooth.
  3. Once the red layer is set, carefully pour a thin layer of the white mixture on top. Refrigerate again for 30–45 minutes until firm.

Step 3: Repeat Layers

  1. Alternate red and white layers until your shot glasses are full, refrigerating between each layer to ensure they set properly.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

  1. Once the layers are completely set, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed candy canes.
  2. Serve chilled and enjoy!
