Instructions

Preparation:

1: Make the Cookie Crust

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs with the melted butter until well combined.
  2. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to create an even crust.
  3. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to set while preparing the next layer.

2: Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Fold in the thawed whipped topping until fully incorporated.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.

3: Make the Chocolate Pudding Layer

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
  2. Spread the pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer.

4: Add the Topping

  1. Spread the remaining whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer.
  2. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips, crushed candy canes, holiday sprinkles, and optional chocolate shavings on top for a festive finish.

5: Chill and Serve

  1. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the layers to set completely.
  2. Slice into squares and serve chilled.
