1: Make the Cookie Crust
- In a medium bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs with the melted butter until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to create an even crust.
- Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to set while preparing the next layer.
2: Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the thawed whipped topping until fully incorporated.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
3: Make the Chocolate Pudding Layer
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
- Spread the pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer.
4: Add the Topping
- Spread the remaining whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer.
- Sprinkle mini chocolate chips, crushed candy canes, holiday sprinkles, and optional chocolate shavings on top for a festive finish.
5: Chill and Serve
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the layers to set completely.
- Slice into squares and serve chilled.
