Cinnamon-Sugar Pizza made with Crescent Rolls

  • Author: Imili Johnson
  • Total Time: 22 minutes
  • Yield: 8 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk (for icing)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for icing)

Instructions

Preparation:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.

Step 2: Unroll the crescent roll dough and arrange it on the prepared baking sheet. Pinch the seams together to form one solid sheet of dough. If you prefer a more pizza-like shape, feel free to gently stretch the dough into a circular or rectangular form.

Step 3: Brush the melted butter evenly over the surface of the dough. This will help the cinnamon-sugar mixture stick and give the crust a delicious golden color once baked.

Step 4: In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over the buttered dough, ensuring an even coverage.

Step 5: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the dough turns golden brown and crispy around the edges. Keep an eye on it to ensure it doesn’t overbake.

Step 6: While the cinnamon-sugar pizza is baking, prepare the icing by mixing the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Stir until smooth and the icing has a drizzle-able consistency.

Step 7: Once the cinnamon-sugar pizza is baked and golden brown, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the prepared icing over the pizza before slicing it into squares or wedges.

Notes

1. Don’t Overbake the Dough: Overbaking the crescent roll dough can cause it to become too hard or dry. Keep a close eye on the pizza while it’s in the oven. Once the dough has turned golden brown around the edges and the center is cooked through, it’s ready to come out.

2. Adjust the Icing Consistency: If the icing feels too thick after mixing the powdered sugar, you can thin it out by adding a little more milk, a teaspoon at a time, until it reaches your desired consistency. If it’s too thin, add a bit more powdered sugar.
