- Red and green food coloring
The Whipped Topping Layer:
- 2 cups whipped topping
- 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles
Garnishing:
- Holiday sprinkles
- Crushed candy canes
- White chocolate shavings
Instructions
Preparation:
1: Make the Cookie Crust
- Combine the crushed graham crackers or Oreos with melted butter in a medium bowl. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form the crust. Place it in the refrigerator to set while preparing the other layers.
2: Prepare the Cheesecake Layer
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping to make the cheesecake layer light and fluffy.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the chilled crust and return it to the refrigerator.
3: Make the Pudding Layer
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Divide the pudding into two bowls. Add red food coloring to one and green food coloring to the other, stirring until the colors are vibrant.
- Spread the green pudding evenly over the cheesecake layer, then add the red pudding on top of the green layer. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to allow the layers to set.
4: Add the Whipped Topping Layer
- Spread a thick layer of whipped topping over the red pudding layer, smoothing it out with a spatula.
- Sprinkle holiday sprinkles evenly over the top for a festive finish.
5: Garnish and Serve
- Garnish with additional sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or white chocolate shavings for extra holiday flair.
- Chill for at least 2 hours (or overnight) before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use vibrant food coloring: Bright red and green layers create a visually stunning dessert. Adjust the intensity of the colors as desired.
- Chill thoroughly: Chilling the dessert for at least 2 hours helps the layers set and makes slicing easier.
- Use holiday-themed toppings: Choose sprinkles, crushed peppermint, or edible glitter to match your Christmas theme.
