Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 12 ounces smoked sausage (like chicken or turkey sausage), sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- While the air fryer is preheating, rinse and pat dry the shrimp, and place them in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine the sliced smoked sausage and broccoli florets.
Step 2: Season the Shrimp, Sausage, and Broccoli
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the shrimp, sausage, and broccoli.
- In a small bowl, mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Divide the spice mixture evenly between the shrimp, sausage, and broccoli, tossing each separately to ensure everything is well-coated.
Step 3: Air Fry the Sausage and Broccoli
- Once the air fryer is preheated, place the seasoned sausage and broccoli in the basket in an even layer.
- Air fry the sausage and broccoli for 10 minutes at 400°F (200°C), shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Step 4: Add the Shrimp to the Air Fryer
- After 10 minutes, open the air fryer basket and add the shrimp on top of the sausage and broccoli.
- Air fry for an additional 6-8 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque, and the sausage is slightly crispy. Shake the basket once during cooking for even browning.
Step 5: Serve or Pack for Meal Prep
- Once everything is cooked through, remove the shrimp, sausage, and broccoli from the air fryer and allow it to cool slightly if meal prepping.
- Serve immediately with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the top for brightness, or divide into meal prep containers for later.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
