Pecan Cheesecake Pie: A Heavenly Dessert Mash-Up

  • Author: Imili Johnson
  • Total Time: 55 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 unbaked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs, divided
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Prepare your pie crust by placing it in a 9-inch pie pan. Crimp the edges if desired.

Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Layer

  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, granulated sugar, 1 egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in the bottom of the pie crust.
  • Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the cream cheese layer.

Step 3: Make the Pecan Pie Filling

  • In a separate bowl, whisk the remaining 3 eggs, corn syrup, and brown sugar until well combined.
  • Carefully pour the egg mixture evenly over the pecans, ensuring it covers the top layer completely.

Step 4: Bake the Pie

  • Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake at 425°F for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.

Step 5: Cool and Serve

  • Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack. This helps the filling set and makes slicing easier.
  • Once cooled, slice and serve. Enjoy every bite of this decadent pie!
