Ingredients
Ingredients:
- 2 cups chilled apple cider (you can use sparkling apple cider for extra fizz)
- 2 large scoops vanilla ice cream
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- A sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)
- A cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)
- 1/4 cup apple slices (for garnish)
- Red candies or maraschino cherry (to represent Rudolph’s nose, optional)
Instructions
Preparation:
Step 1: Prepare your glasses or mugs by placing them in the freezer for about 10 minutes. This helps keep the float nice and cold while you assemble it.
Step 2: Take out the chilled glasses and drizzle caramel sauce around the inside edges of each glass. Let some of the caramel drip down to create a festive look.
Step 3: Pour 1 cup of chilled apple cider into each glass. If you’re using sparkling apple cider, pour gently to preserve the bubbles.
Step 4: Add a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream to each glass. The cold ice cream will create a creamy contrast with the tartness of the apple cider.
Step 5: Drizzle more caramel sauce over the top of the ice cream, creating a luscious caramel topping.
Step 6: Optional: Top each float with a dollop of whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a cinnamon stick for added flavor and decoration.
Step 7: Garnish with a few thin apple slices on the rim of the glass and add a red candy or maraschino cherry to represent Rudolph’s nose.
Step 8: Serve immediately with a straw and spoon, and enjoy the creamy, caramel-infused apple flavor!
Notes
- Be sure to use chilled apple cider to prevent the ice cream from melting too quickly.
- Store-bought caramel sauce works well, but homemade caramel sauce will add a richer, more luxurious flavor.
- This float is best served immediately to enjoy the contrast between the cold ice cream and the fizzy apple cider.
