Scale

Ingredients

For the Piña Colada Base:

  • 2 cups (480ml) pineapple juice
  • 1 cup (240ml) coconut cream (not coconut milk!)
  • 1 cup (150g) frozen pineapple chunks
  • 2 oz (60ml) white rum (Bacardi, Malibu, or your favorite)
  • 2 cups (240g) ice cubes

For the Strawberry Swirl:

  • 1 cup (150g) fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) grenadine or strawberry syrup
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for fresh strawberries)

For Topping:

  • Whipped cream
  • Pineapple wedges
  • Maraschino cherries
  • Extra strawberry syrup drizzle

Instructions

Preparation

Step 1: Blend the Strawberry Swirl

In a blender, combine the strawberries, grenadine (or strawberry syrup), and sugar. Blend until smooth. Set aside.

Step 2: Blend the Piña Colada Base

In a separate blender, add pineapple juice, coconut cream, frozen pineapple chunks, white rum, and ice cubes. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Layer the Drink

Pour a portion of the strawberry swirl into the bottom of a hurricane or tall glass. Slowly pour the piña colada mixture on top. Swirl lightly with a straw or spoon for a marbled effect.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

Top with whipped cream, a pineapple wedge, a maraschino cherry, and a drizzle of extra strawberry syrup. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Best Coconut Cream: Use unsweetened coconut cream for the best consistency.
  • Frozen Pineapple: Helps create a thicker, colder texture.
  • Blender Tip: Blend the strawberry mix first to avoid cross-contamination of colors.
  • Storage: Best served fresh, but can be frozen and re-blended later.
