For the Cinnamon Butter:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

  1. Activate the Yeast: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: Add melted butter, eggs, and salt, stirring to combine.
  3. Incorporate Flour: Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Step 2: First Rise & Shape the Rolls

  1. First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  2. Shape the Rolls: Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place in a greased baking dish.

Step 3: Second Rise & Bake

  1. Second Rise: Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.

Step 4: Make the Cinnamon Butter

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together softened butter, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and honey until smooth and creamy.
