- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- Activate the Yeast: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: Add melted butter, eggs, and salt, stirring to combine.
- Incorporate Flour: Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Step 2: First Rise & Shape the Rolls
- First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Shape the Rolls: Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place in a greased baking dish.
Step 3: Second Rise & Bake
- Second Rise: Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
Step 4: Make the Cinnamon Butter
- Mix Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together softened butter, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and honey until smooth and creamy.
