Warm Cranberry Brie Crescent Rolls Delight

  • Author: Imili Johnson
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

Ingredients:

– 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
– 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small slices
– 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
– 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional for crunch)
– one tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (optional for a hint of herby flavor)
– 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for an extra touch of sweetness)
– 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
– Flour for dusting (if needed)

Instructions

Preparation:

Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent the rolls from sticking.
Step 2:
Open the crescent roll dough package and carefully unroll the dough. Separate the dough into triangles by following the perforated lines.
Step 3:
Place a slice of brie cheese in the center of each triangle of dough. The brie should be cut into small pieces to ensure it melts evenly within the roll.
Step 4:
Add a spoonful of cranberry sauce on top of the brie. If you’re adding the optional pecans and rosemary, sprinkle a small amount of each on top of the cranberry sauce. You can also drizzle a little honey for an added sweetness.
Step 5:
Gently roll up the crescent rolls, starting from the wider end of the triangle and rolling towards the point. Be sure to tuck the edges so that the brie and cranberry filling is enclosed. Place the rolled crescent dough on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are spaced slightly apart.
Step 6:
Brush each roll with a beaten egg to give the crescent rolls a shiny, golden appearance when baked.
Step 7:
Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling slightly. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.
Step 8:
Once baked, remove from the oven and let the crescent rolls cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. Serve them warm for the best flavor.

Notes

Be mindful of the brie’s softness. When baking, the cheese will melt and might ooze out of the crescent rolls if not tucked properly. Make sure to seal the edges well during rolling. The cranberry sauce will also bubble up as it heats, so lining your baking sheet with parchment paper can make cleaning up easier.
