- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
For the Toppings:
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (toasted)
- 2 tablespoons green onions (sliced)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Air Fryer
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes while preparing the ingredients.
Step 2: Prepare the Shrimp, Sausage, and Broccoli
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the shrimp, sliced sausage, and broccoli florets with olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper.
- Make sure everything is evenly coated with the seasoning.
Step 3: Cook in the Air Fryer
- Arrange the shrimp, sausage, and broccoli in the air fryer basket in a single layer for even cooking.
- Air fry at 400°F for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure the shrimp and sausage brown evenly and the broccoli becomes tender-crisp.
- The shrimp should be opaque and pink, and the sausage lightly browned.
Step 4: Prepare the Teriyaki Glaze
- While the shrimp and sausage are cooking, prepare the teriyaki glaze.
- In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in 1/4 cup of water and add it to the saucepan.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens into a glaze, about 3-5 minutes.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and set aside.
Step 5: Coat with Teriyaki Glaze
- Once the shrimp, sausage, and broccoli are done cooking, transfer them to a large mixing bowl.
- Pour the teriyaki glaze over the mixture, tossing gently to ensure everything is evenly coated with the sauce.
Step 6: Add the Toppings
- Transfer the glazed shrimp, sausage, and broccoli to a serving platter.
- Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the top for added texture and flavor.
Step 7: Serve
- Serve immediately, optionally with extra teriyaki glaze on the side for drizzling.
