Preparation:

- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together 2 cups of milk and the instant chocolate pudding mix until the pudding thickens.
- Chill the pudding in the refrigerator until set, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 2: Make the Peanut Butter Cream Layer
- In a large bowl, beat together 1 cup heavy cream, ¼ cup peanut butter, ¼ cup powdered sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract using a hand mixer or stand mixer.
- Beat until soft peaks form, then set aside.
Step 3: Assemble the Trifle
- In a trifle dish or individual serving glasses, begin layering the ingredients:
- Start with a layer of chocolate pudding at the bottom.
- Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the pudding.
- Follow with a layer of peanut butter cream.
- Add a layer of crushed chocolate cookies or brownie pieces.
- Repeat the layers until the dish is filled, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
Step 4: Garnish and Chill
- Garnish with chocolate shavings and crushed peanuts for added texture and flavor.
- Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together.
