Ingredients
Ingredients:
- 3 lbs lamb ribs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preparation:
Step 1:
In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the spices are evenly distributed.
Step 2:
Rub the spice mixture all over the lamb ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated. This will add layers of flavor to the meat.
Step 3:
Place the seasoned ribs in the crockpot. Arrange them in a way that they lie flat for even cooking.
Step 4:
In a separate bowl, mix the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce is smooth.
Step 5:
Pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the ribs in the crockpot, making sure to cover them evenly.
Step 6:
Cover the crockpot with a lid and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours. The slow cooking process allows the ribs to absorb all the flavors and become tender.
Step 7 (Optional):
For a caramelized finish, preheat the oven to broil. Remove the ribs from the crockpot and place them on a baking sheet. Broil for 3-5 minutes, or until the top is slightly crispy and caramelized.
Notes
Cooking Note:
- Adjusting the Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter sauce, you can add an extra tablespoon of brown sugar. For a tangier taste, increase the amount of apple cider vinegar.
- Broiling: Be sure to watch the ribs closely while broiling to prevent burning. The goal is a lightly caramelized, crispy exterior.
