  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 23 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 12 drops black food coloring (optional, for a spooky gray swirl)

For Garnishing:

  • Black licorice (for “ghostly arms”)
  • Candy eyeballs
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Whipped cream
  • Plastic spiders or ghost picks (for decoration only)

Instructions

Preparation:

1: Create the Float Base

  • In a tall glass, pour the lemon-lime soda. If desired, add a drop or two of black food coloring and stir to create a spooky gray swirl.

2: Add the Ice Cream

  • Place 2-3 scoops of vanilla ice cream into the soda. Watch as it fizzes and foams, creating a “ghostly” effect.

3: Decorate with Ghostly Garnishes

  • Add candy eyeballs on top of the ice cream scoops to make them look like little ghost faces. Stick black licorice pieces into the sides for ghostly “arms.” Add a dollop of whipped cream for extra fluff, and scatter mini marshmallows for a ghostly “fog.”

4: Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve the floats immediately with a straw and a spoon. These are best enjoyed when the ice cream is still cold and frothy!
